Randy, our guide was the best! His knowledge about every aspect of the
animals, terrain and hunting is most impressive! The size of the elk
taken on the hunt speaks volumes for Randy’s talents and knowledge!

“I joined Bear Mountain Ranch in 2006. I currently serve as Ranch
Manager and enjoy combining my legal career with newly developed
entrepreneurial skills. I am fully responsible for our Risk Management,
Continuous Quality Improvement, Marketing & Sales, Personnel and Budget.
Since joining Bear Mountain Ranch there has been a significant
improvement in all of the areas above.
In 2007 along with Bear Mountain Ranch, LPA, I worked to establish Bear
Mountain Bison, LLC.”

"Working with hunters, meeting
sporting enthusiasts at shows and customizing packages is a real thrill
for me when booking clients. To hear the positive comments and accolades
when our guests leave the ranch is what makes me happy. My role in the
bison company is to locate live bison and then purchase them."

“I moved out to Colorado in
1985 and have been here for 26 yrs. I started working at the Ranch 3
years ago doing all the onsite cleaning at all the houses and lodging.
Then, I started helping in the office a few days a week while subbing at
the High School.
My office job became full
time now and I do all the bookwork for Bear Mountain Bison, shipping,
catering and whatever is needed to be done. I enjoy working here and
have learned so much about our bison at the ranch and about the growing
bison meat industry."

“I have lived in Colorado all
my life and in the Kremmling area for over 30 years. I started working
at Bear Mountain in August, 2010. I really enjoy my job at Bear
Mountain. I work with a group of friends, the opportunities of the
outdoors, and the variety in my job. The bison are so different from
cattle that it has been very interesting learning about them and
exciting to watch the herd grow, as well, as the growth of the
industry."

Assistant

“I have lived in Colorado
since 1981. I haves worked for Bear Mountain Ranch for a few years now
and my primary jobs here are taking care of all the animals and guiding
during hunting season. I enjoy working at Bear Mountain Ranch because I
love working with animals and being able to work outside every day,
those have both been lifelong dreams. Also I work with a great group of
people that make coming to work everyday a pleasure. Truly living the
dream ;) "

Rancher/Hunting Guide

"I was born and raised just north of Chicago. I came to Colorado to
study Anthropology at Colorado State University 13 years ago and have
been here ever since. Local/sustainable foods, environmental
stewardship, and the great outdoors are the passions of my life. Working
with Bear Mountain Bison provides me the opportunity to work where my
passions lie."

Anne and John Draper have been
avid outdoor enthusiasts for over 30 years. When they acquired the
10,000-acre Bear Mountain Ranch they quickly decided that it was just too
beautiful not to share. “The design of the Lodge and Grizzly camp maximize
enjoyment from everything from an Elk Hunt to a gorgeous outdoor wedding.”
